Federico, originally from Ibague, Colombia, embarked on his musical journey at the age of eight. His early passion for music set the stage for his musical journey. In 2011, he completed his high school education at the Conservatory of Ibague, marking his first significant musical education milestone. From 2011 to 2015, Federico was an integral part of the Conservatory of Tolima Symphony Orchestra. His musical prowess and dedication helped him serve as the concertmaster of the Camerata Ibague.
His journey took a turn when he became a member of the Philharmonic Youth Orchestra of Colombia from 2013 to 2015. This experience exposed him to new horizons and deepened his passion for music.
In 2015, a scholarship opportunity opened the door to further his education in the United States. Federico seized this chance and enrolled at USM, where he pursued a double major in Music Performance and Music Education. His dedication and hard work culminated in the successful completion of his double major in 2022, and later, he finished his Master’s degree in 2024 where he studied with the professor Borislava Iltcheva.
Currently, Federico plays in various symphony orchestras like the Meridian Symphony, Gulf Coast Symphony, Baton Rouge Symphony, and the Mississippi Symphony.
